For instance, when a toddler plays with a shape sorter toy, the child is developing basic problem-solving skills and learning what different shapes look and feel like.
Our Preschool classroom provides the perfect transition from our Preschool Program to our Transitional Kindergarten program. Children become more adept at using utensils like spoons, paintbrushes and markers. As they master their fine motor skills, they play with a purpose.
When your child picks out a puzzle and tries to put it together, your child is planning and completing a simple project. This helps the child develop feelings of competence and self-esteem, setting the foundation for future learning success.
